OUR STORY
501 (C) (3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
In 1996, an attorney who specialized in working with juveniles had just finished defending his young client before the judge. Frustrated he turned to the judge and remarked, "This kid has so much going against him, but he's not a hardened criminal yet. How can we get him the support he needs?"
That question led to the formation of a group of concerned public officials who began the process of developing a community-based agency that would become involved in the growing problem of juvenile delinquency in Fort Bend County. The focus of the group was to develop a mentoring agency. Out of this desire, Fort Bend Partnership for Youth, Inc. was created in late 1996 and the Internal Revenue Service deemed the organization a 501 (C) (3) agency.
Today, FBPFY operates as a non-profit auxiliary organization for the Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation department by financially supporting a variety of needs, a vast array of projects and many supportive programs for the juveniles.
